Who it's for

From a house oil on the table to an entirely new brand on the shelf.

✵

Restaurants and hotels

A house oil with your own name on it. Guests taste the difference and see straight away whose it is. Also works as a resale product at the bar or in your shop.

◧

Bakeries, delis, cheese shops

Your own brand next to the A-brands on the shelf — with a margin you set yourself and a product nobody else on the street sells.

✦

Corporate gifts

Not another bottle of wine. An olive oil with your logo, a harvest year and a real story behind it. Popular around the holidays, anniversaries and openings.

◈

Your own brand idea

We supply the oil, the packaging and the labelling know-how. You build the brand. No mill of your own, no importing, no containers to buy up front.

Why work with Olijfolie Markt

What sets us apart from a standard bottler.

You choose the oil, not just the label

Most private label suppliers have one base oil. We work with fifteen producers in Italy, Spain and Greece. Delicate or extremely intense, Coratina or Picual, organic or PGI-certified — you pick what fits your brand.

Every batch comes with the numbers

Polyphenol content, acidity, harvest year and cultivar. We supply the lab analysis, so you can communicate about your product with evidence behind you.

We know the labelling rules

Sales designation, statement of origin, best-before date, lot number and nutrition declaration — we check your design before it goes to the printer.

One harvest, one batch

Your entire order comes from the same pressing. No difference in taste between the first bottle and the last.

What you can choose

Four choices together determine how your product looks and tastes.

●

The oil

15+ producers, from delicate to extremely intense. Monocultivar or blend. Organic, PGI/DOP or uncertified.

▬

The packaging

100 ml, 250 ml, 500 ml or tin. Glass in clear or dark green. Tins from 500 ml up to 5 litres for kitchen use.

▤

The label

Your own design, or we have it made. Paper, transparent or textured. Front and back label, neck band or tin wrap.

❀

The finish

Gift box, wooden crate, wax seal or ribbon — for gift concepts and events.

What determines the price?

Mainly one thing: the quantity.

The preparation stays the same

The label design, the legal check and the set-up cost us the same amount of time for a hundred bottles as for a thousand. Those costs are spread across your run.

Only the filling scales

More bottles means more oil and more filling work. That is the only part that genuinely grows with your order.

That is why the price per bottle drops as your run gets larger. Tell us what quantity you have in mind and we will work it out precisely for you.

Labelling and legislation

An olive oil label has to comply with European rules — Regulation 1308/2013 for the sales designation, Implementing Regulation 29/2012 for the specific olive oil statements and Regulation 1169/2011 for general food information.

We think along with you and check your design, but final responsibility for the label rests with the brand owner. For a binding opinion we refer to the NVWA, the Dutch food safety authority.

  • Sales designation and the mandatory wording for extra virgin
  • Statement of origin
  • Net content, best-before date and storage conditions
  • Lot number and nutrition declaration
  • Name and address of the responsible food business operator
  • Claims you may and may not make

Frequently asked questions

Can I have a small run made?

Often yes. It depends on the format and the type of label you choose — with some combinations we can go lower than with others. Tell us what you are looking for and we will be honest about what is feasible.

What does a private label olive oil cost per bottle?

That depends mainly on the quantity. The preparation — label design, legal check and set-up — is the same for a hundred bottles as for a thousand, so the larger the run, the lower the price per bottle. We always make a tailored quote with a fixed price per bottle including label and filling.

How long does it take?

Usually 4 to 6 weeks from the moment you approve the design. For the holiday season we advise submitting your request before mid-October.

Do I have to design the label myself?

No. If you have a logo or house style, we work from that. If you have nothing, we create a design from scratch. If you already have a finished design, we only check the legally required information.

Can I taste first?

Yes. We send a sample pack with a selection of oils that match your direction, so you choose on taste rather than on paper.

Which oil exactly do I get?

You choose that yourself from our producer network in Italy, Spain and Greece. From delicate to extremely intense, monocultivar or blend, organic or PGI-certified.

Do I get the analysis of the oil?

Yes. We supply the polyphenol content, acidity, harvest year and cultivar, so you can communicate about your product with evidence behind you.

Is the oil organic?

It can be. We have certified organic oils in our range. If you want to carry the organic logo on your own label, additional requirements apply to your own certification — we will explain what that involves.

Does the whole order come from the same harvest?

Yes. We fill your order from one batch, so the taste is identical from the first bottle to the last.

Can I reorder?

Yes, but bear the harvest season in mind. A new harvest means a new taste and a new harvest year on the label. We keep your label file and specification on record, so reordering is quick.

How long does the olive oil keep?

Unopened, 18 to 24 months, depending on the oil and the packaging. Oils with a high polyphenol content stay in good condition longer. We always state the harvest year, not just the best-before date.

Do you deliver outside the Netherlands?

Yes, within the EU. The same rate applies for Belgium and Germany; for other countries we make a separate calculation.

I want to start my own olive oil brand. Where do I begin?

With a conversation. We supply the oil, the packaging and the labelling know-how; you build the brand. Get in touch with your idea, your target group and the quantity you have in mind, and we will sketch out together what is feasible.
